CONTROL Resonant Enemies & Bosses — Know What You're Facing
Tell the Hiss and Mold apart from Resonants, then examine the named encounters and the hazards that have been shown so far.

Which threats are actually distinct?
The Hiss and Mold return, while Resonants form the major boss class. From the encounters we reviewed, some Resonants can be left until Dylan has a stronger build. The Central Resonant is the clearest named example, with fire and magma shaping the arena.
Looking for a specific Boss encounter?
We separate factions from individual threats here. Open the known Boss encounters for the named fights and hazards we've seen so far; we won't guess the rest of the roster.
Faction, summon or individual encounter?
A hostile faction, a summoned ally and a named boss are not the same thing. Check the role before planning a fight.
| Name | Class | Shown behavior or role | Do not infer |
|---|---|---|---|
| Hiss | Returning hostile force | Corrupted Bureau personnel appear in the opening | Every Manhattan enemy is Hiss |
| Mold | Returning paranatural threat | Mold-linked combat and summons are discussed | Every Mold appearance is the same enemy |
| Resonants | Major boss class | Defeat can grant supernatural abilities | A full boss count or order |
| First Resonant Entity | Early individual encounter | Porcelain-like face that weaponizes taxis and girders | A confirmed final boss name |
| Central Resonant | Named encounter | Fire and magma hazards | Final damage values or drop table |
Hiss, Mold and Resonant threat files
These have enough distinct facts and player context for a dedicated file.

First Resonant EntityPreviewed boss encounterAn opening-hours hands-on describes a giant partial head embedded in the street, using telekinetic debris. It is a preview encounter, not a confirmed final boss name.
The HissReturning hostile resonanceThe Hiss drove the crisis inside the Oldest House in CONTROL and is named among the threats in Resonant's Manhattan. Its old enemy list is not a new-game bestiary.
Enemy factions and named encounters
We keep factions, summons, and individual bosses separate, and we won't turn a few shown encounters into a made-up bestiary or drop table.
