CONTROL Resonant Missions — Choose Your Next Lead
Separate Dylan's main story from Jesse Quests, World Quests, Faults and Zone activities. Start with the activity type when you need movement, story context or a short combat challenge.

What is a mission and what is a category?
We read Dylan's Journey as the campaign, Jesse Quests as routes to traversal powers, World Quests as optional stories, and Faults as distinct activities. Short challenges and discoveries belong to their Zones rather than a chapter list.
Quest line or optional activity?
Campaign priorities, traversal quests, optional stories and short Zone activities solve different player needs. Identify the type before following a route.
| Label | Type | Known player role | Current coverage |
|---|---|---|---|
| Dylan's Journey | Main narrative | Follow the central story | No verified chapter-by-chapter route |
| Jesse Quests | Optional traversal progression | Unlock movement tools such as double jump and air dash | Useful before revisiting blocked routes |
| World Quests | Optional narrative | Self-contained stories | Category known; full quest list not published |
| Faults | Optional activity | Distinct challenges in Zones | Total count and rewards not published |
| Metro Fault | Named Fault route | Transit hazards and Reach traversal | Known route, not a complete collectible map |
| Arcade challenges | Short Zone activity | Practice combat and earn progression rewards | Not a story chapter or boss route |
Campaign, traversal quests and Zone activities
These have enough distinct facts and player context for a dedicated file.
The underground Fault shown in a mission preview combines warped transit, train hazards, Mold enemies and the Reach traversal reward.
World Quests and FaultsOptional activity typesWorld Quests are self-contained narrative stories. Faults are a distinct activity type; Metro Fault is a named preview route, not proof of a complete published Fault list.
Named missions and activity types
We only publish route steps when we can support the prerequisite and result, instead of turning activity categories into imaginary chapters.
| Topic | Quest or activity | Known objective / context |
|---|---|---|
| Dylan's Journey | Resonant | This is Remedy's name for the main campaign. It is a quest category, not the title of one mission or a published chapter-by-chapter list.We use the main-story route for Dylan's central objective, but we do not turn the early previews into a complete mission order. |
| World Quests | Resonant | These are stories outside the main campaign route. Remedy distinguishes them from the broader mix of encounters, environmental challenges and hidden discoveries.Choose a story because its situation interests you; a separate map activity is not automatically a World Quest. |
| Faults | Resonant | Published coverage uses Fault terminology, with Metro Fault as a named example. One showcased Fault does not establish how every Fault works, its duration, or its reward.Check the individual encounter's evidence before assuming all Faults give traversal upgrades. |
| Metro Fault ↗ | Resonant | Reach traversal abilityFor us, the useful takeaway is the traversal unlock. A preview reward is not enough to give a collectible count, difficulty rating or final clear time. |
| World Quests and Faults ↗ | Optional activity types | World Quests are self-contained narrative stories. Faults are a distinct activity type; Metro Fault is a named preview route, not proof of a complete published Fault list. |
