What did the hands-on actually show?

A first-party Xbox hands-on follows Dylan from the Oldest House into Manhattan and describes an early Resonant Entity as a large, partly embedded head. The encounter uses telekinetic debris. The previewer also sees the entity clearing Hiss from its surroundings, which distinguishes it from an ordinary Hiss enemy.

The report presents Barrage, Seekers and Shield as the supernatural ability options following this encounter. It does not publish a retail boss name, health value, elemental resistance or a guaranteed step-by-step pattern.

03 / Field notes

How should players read the preview?

Treat the encounter as an introduction to what a Resonant can change in a build. Remedy says major Resonants are story-integrated bosses that grant Combat Abilities, sometimes with branching choices.

The separately previewed Central Resonant has fire and magma hazards. The two should not be merged into one entry merely because both are Resonants. A final retail boss route will need gameplay verification.

04 / Field notes

Keep two preview encounters separate

The opening-hours hands-on describes a giant partial head emerging in the street and hurling debris through telekinetic force. That is enough to identify the preview encounter and its visible pressure, but not enough to assign a final in-game boss name, a health pool or a full phase sequence.

A different preview discusses the Central Resonant and its hazardous, magma-themed arena. The shared word Resonant is a category clue, not proof that both reports describe one enemy. The opening encounter is also associated with an early Combat Ability choice; the precise reward pattern across all Resonants remains unconfirmed.

First Resonant Entity: what players need to know

We expect a boss-linked ability decision here, but we are not building a strategy around an unconfirmed name or pre-release damage values.
