Your way into altered Manhattan
We track the release details, break down the combat, and connect the people, places, and missions behind Dylan Faden's journey beyond the Oldest House.
We built the site around the questions we had as players. Pick what you need now and we'll take you straight to the useful guide, comparison, or Wiki entry.

Start with the melee-and-ability loop, then compare Forms, Talents and Artifacts.
Follow Dylan, Jesse and Zoe, or look up enemy factions and known Resonant encounters.
Understand Zones, traversal gates, mission types and why the map can be difficult to read.

From everything we've reviewed, Manhattan is built as a set of focused Zones rather than one seamless checklist. Gravity, interiors, and traversal abilities can all change the route in front of you.

Open guideWe read the combat loop like this: pressure an enemy up close, spend the energy you create, break their balance, and use the opening. Your build changes how you move through that loop.
Build pressure with an Aberrant Form.
Spend the resource on a Combat Ability.
Create the opening instead of trading hits.
Use execution or dominance when available.
We've connected the people driving Dylan's story with the combat options, enemies, locations, and missions around them.

2 in-depth pagesWe compared the completed reviews with PlayStation's full-game hands-on. Together they point to a roughly 25–35-hour main story, optional Resonants, traversal-focused Jesse Quests, post-story free roam and a combat loop built around Falter, executions and Dominance. Reviewers disagree sharply on combat balance and late-game durability, so we are not treating one build or route as universal.
Understand the full combat loopRemedy's launch trailer puts Dylan, warped Manhattan and several Aberrant Forms in view. It confirms the September 24 digital launch but does not reveal a complete boss roster or final combat balance.

Watch the developer documentaryRemedy outlined 60fps and 30fps modes on PS5, three modes on PS5 Pro, DualSense feedback, 3D Audio and an estimated 25–35-hour main story.

CONTROL Resonant sends Dylan Faden out of the Oldest House and into a Manhattan broken into distinct Zones. He fights with the shape-shifting Aberrant, earns supernatural Combat Abilities and follows both the main story and optional World Quests. We bring the practical questions together: which version to buy, how the combat systems fit, who the characters are, and where the named activities take place.
Start with the release and edition guide if you are choosing a platform or copy. Use Guides when you need a way to approach a fight or activity, and the Wiki when you want to look up a specific person, power, enemy or place. When the answer depends on your hardware or buying preferences, use the player tools. On the map page, we only mark locations we can support and leave exact routes for the released game.
Yes. CONTROL Resonant is the sequel to CONTROL, with Dylan Faden as the playable lead. Jesse remains central to the story, but this is Dylan's journey.
Get the story setupThe digital release is September 24, 2026. Physical console copies are scheduled for October 15, 2026. Availability and early access depend on the platform, edition and store listing.
See the release datesDylan Faden is the playable lead. He leaves the Oldest House to face the crisis in Manhattan while searching for his sister, Jesse.
Meet DylanNo. Dylan's story stands on its own, though knowing Jesse, the FBC and the Hiss adds context to the people he meets.
Get the story setupNot in the conventional seamless-map sense. Manhattan is divided into large, focused Zones with story and optional activities. Vertical spaces, gravity changes and traversal gates make a flat map only part of the navigation answer.
Explore the known placesThe Aberrant changes weapon Forms. Melee hits refill the resource for Combat Abilities, while Talents and Artifacts let you shape the build around your preferred approach.
