CONTROL Resonant FBC Field Office Wiki

The Federal Bureau of Control's field office is the evolving central hub linking the game's handcrafted Manhattan Zones; it is not a claim that the city is one seamless open-world map.

How is Manhattan connected?

In a developer-commented Xbox presentation, the city's major Zones branch from a central area containing the FBC field office. The office is described as an evolving hub. That gives players a better mental model than treating every distorted street as one continuous map.

Each Zone is intended to have a distinct appearance, encounters, lore and discoveries. The office connects that structure, while the Gap serves the separate purpose of shaping Dylan's build. The two should not be confused just because both are places a player may revisit.

What is not mapped yet?

We have not found a complete office floor plan, every Zone entrance or a fixed order for all routes. For now, we explain what the hub does instead of inventing corridors, vendors or fast-travel markers.

For navigation, follow the currently available Zone and story objective. For equipment choices, use the Gap; for a specific previewed traversal challenge, see the Metro Fault file.

The hub's place in the route

The Field Office is the central Manhattan hub linking handcrafted zones. That tells players something about the game's geography: traveling between named areas is not the same as walking across one continuous open-world street grid. It also distinguishes the present field operation from the FBC's older headquarters inside the Oldest House.

We know the Field Office organizes travel between Zones, but we do not yet know every service, NPC or quest board it contains. Zoe is Dylan's field handler; that does not tell us her exact office position. For now, we use the hub to explain how the Zones connect rather than drawing a made-up collectible map.

FBC Field Office: what players need to know

Our simplest map is: the field office connects Zones, the Gap handles the build, and the Oldest House remains its own story location.
