What was Emily's role in CONTROL?
Emily helped Jesse interpret the Bureau's records while the Oldest House was under attack. Her work connects research terminology to decisions a player actually makes, but she was not the Director and did not control the Service Weapon.
She worked in the same research organization as Darling. Recognizing both names is useful when an FBC file refers to an experiment, yet their shared department does not mean they held the same views about Dylan or the Bureau.

The returning-cast announcement gives players a reason to recognize Emily, while Jesse's absence makes every familiar FBC relationship more interesting. Her exact location and involvement in Dylan's missions remain story questions.

Emily's role in CONTROL was tied to investigating the Bureau's paranatural problems and supporting Jesse. For a sequel reader, that places her among the FBC's scientific staff and within Jesse's established network. It is different from Zoe's confirmed role as Dylan's field handler during the Manhattan crisis.
If Emily appears in a background file, the first question is whether it describes old research or a present objective. Her original-game association does not prove a specific Resonant quest chain, laboratory location or upgrade service.
