CONTROL Resonant Aberrant Forms Compared — Wiki
Six named early weapon choices divide into Primary and Secondary Forms. They change the speed, reach and target pattern of Dylan's transforming Aberrant rather than representing six separate loot drops.

Six previewed Forms at a glance
These roles come from a first-party hands-on of the opening hour. They are tactical descriptions, not a final damage ranking or full unlock list.
| Form | Pool | Shown weapon | Player-facing role |
|---|---|---|---|
| Flurry | Primary | Twin daggers | Fast, close-range attacks; boosted critical chance |
| Slash | Primary | Scythe | Wide attacks against groups |
| Slice | Primary | Axe | High single-target damage; bonus from behind |
| Crush | Secondary | Mallet | Large, slow smashing attacks |
| Drill | Secondary | Drill | Directed sustained damage |
| Extend | Secondary | Chain staff | Extra reach for a melee setup |

How do the Form pools work?
The Xbox hands-on describes an early choice among Flurry, Slash and Slice, followed later in the preview by a choice among Crush, Drill and Extend. A separate Combo Ender pool supplies finishers. These pools let Dylan combine different attack roles within a single Aberrant loadout.
The previewer notes that other Forms can eventually be unlocked. That observation does not establish an exact unlock order, upgrade cost, complete Form count or a permanent lockout.

How should you choose an opening pair?
A close-range Primary Form and a reach-oriented Secondary Form cover different problems; a wide Primary Form and a heavy Secondary Form lean toward crowd pressure and impact. That is how we read the roles shown so far, not a tested best-in-slot ranking.
Watch what a fight asks of you—single target, group control, reach or sustained pressure—before treating one weapon animation as universally strongest. Talents, abilities and Artifacts may alter that judgment in the finished game.

Match the Form to the opening
If distance is the problem, compare Extend's extra reach with a Combat Ability such as Barrage before changing the whole build. If a crowd keeps interrupting a narrow attack, Slash's wide arc is the more relevant Form to inspect. These are differences in the shown roles, not a promise that either option wins every fight.
A Form also changes how you return to melee after spending a power. The Aberrant file explains that shared resource loop; the Gap file explains where the parts of a loadout are reviewed. Keep weapon role, ability choice and build management separate when comparing them.
