Where Reach enters the route

In the Metro Fault preview, Reach is tied to an underground route with train hazards and Mold. That tells us what the reward is and where it matters, but it is not enough for us to publish a final step-by-step walkthrough.

Reach gives Dylan a way to bridge or traverse spaces that ordinary jumping cannot explain. It belongs beside Shift and other movement tools when reading a zone guide.

Why the distinction matters

Resonant bosses grant Combat Ability choices, whereas Reach is described as a traversal unlock. Putting it in a build-planner attack slot would mislead players about both systems.

After acquiring a movement tool, revisit routes that previously ended at inaccessible geometry. Exact collectibles behind those paths are not yet documented.

04 / Field notes

Traversal is not the combat reward pool

The Metro Fault preview connects Reach to movement through an altered environment, while Remedy describes Combat Abilities as rewards from major Resonants. We keep those progression tracks separate so the build checklist stays useful.

Remedy's New Game Plus explanation says story-linked traversal abilities reset even while combat upgrades and powers persist. Reach is therefore useful to understand as a route key as well as a move, not as a permanent combat slot.

05 / Field notes

Movement unlock, not attack selection

Reach is associated with traversal through the previewed Metro Fault. It belongs in a different mental category from Barrage, Seekers and Shield, the Combat Ability choices described after an early Resonant encounter. That difference matters when reading preview routes: gaining Reach opens a way across space rather than occupying one of the attack choices shown in a combat menu.

The published route gives a useful example of a world ability that can gate movement. It does not establish every place Reach will be required, a complete unlock order, or a final collectible path. New Game Plus information says story-gated traversal abilities are reacquired, so a returning build may be strong while its movement route still depends on story progress.

Reach: what players need to know

We connect Reach to the demonstrated Metro Fault route and use it as a navigation tool, not something to look for among offensive powers.
